Because I couldn't find a wool shop in Amsterdam West (Osdorp / Sloten) that really offered what I was looking for, I decided to do it myself. There were shops, but not in the way I like to experience it: with personal attention and room to feel the yarns and see the colours. That's how De Garengarage started: from my own need, but above all from the belief that more people are missing the same thing.
De Garengarage has since grown into a place where lovers of crochet, knitting and other crafts come together to share inspiration and meet each other. During our cosy Crochet Mee evenings in the shop, there's room to learn, to laugh and, of course, to crochet together.

A wide range of wool and yarn: As a wool shop, De Garengarage offers a broad range of materials, from luxurious wool to practical acrylic, in every colour you can imagine. Besides wool and yarn, we also sell the crochet supplies you need.
